Examination of Wet Bulb Gauze (for damp heat type only)

Wet bulb gauze must be installed when conducting humidity test. Please check whether the gauze is moist or not when humidity test starts. If it has lost water absorbability, please replace it.

Note:

Bacteria will be reproduced on the wet bulb gauze during humidity test.

Excessive bacteria will affect it’s water absorbability. Therefore, keep handsclean before touching the wet bulb gauze.

Steps:

1. Take wet bulb gauze out of packing box.

2. Install the wet bulb gauze on the wet bulb temperature Sensor.

How to install Wet Bulb Gauze

Note:

Make sure to align the gauze and the end of sensor when installing the gauze.

Otherwise, it will affect humidity control.

1. Roll the bottom of wet bulb gauze into circular arc.

1. Plug the wet bulb gauze in the sink in the middle of wet bulb sink.

When conducting temperature test, the setting temperature is higher than ambient temperature, it’s better to remove wet bulb gauze, or else the water absorbability will get poorer if the gauze is toasted excessively, which will affect accuracy of humidity measurement. Besides, it’s better to supply water for gauze when conducting temperature test to prevent gauze from being toasted. You can refer to Chapter 5.8 “Detailed Setting of Equipment” in user’s manual; when the temperature is equal to or higher than 120℃, the gauze will be toasted no matter whether to supply water or not.
